In short

Axiomra designed an AI shopping assistant for use inside stores. It answers questions about products. It checks what is in stock and suggests other options when something is missing.

When a shopper needs a person, it calls a member of staff. Everything else it can handle on its own.

A typical situation

A retailer with many stores wanted every shopper to get the same good service, even at the busiest times.

It did not want to add floor staff every time the stores got busier.

The problem

  • Shoppers often need help. They want to find a product, compare two options or check if something is in stock.
  • Busy times mean long waits. When the store is full, shoppers queue to ask a member of staff a simple question.
  • Staff repeat the same answers. Time spent on routine questions is time taken away from selling and real service.
  • Information changes fast. Products, stock and offers change too often for a fixed screen or printed sign to keep up.

What we built

  • The assistant is linked to your live product list, stock in each store, current offers and product details you approve.
  • Shoppers can reach it on a store kiosk, their own phone, a QR code on the shelf or a chat app. They simply type or ask in their own words.
  • It can compare products, suggest a good replacement, and tell shoppers which aisle or store has the item.
  • For complex requests, it calls a member of staff to help in person.
  • Your team gets a clear view of what shoppers ask for, what they can't find and what confuses them.

How it works, step by step

  1. 1

    The shopper asks a question

They ask about a product or the store, on a kiosk, their phone or a chat app.

  2. 2

    The assistant understands the need

It works out what the shopper is looking for and what they are trying to do.

  3. 3

    It checks live information

It looks up your current product list and the stock in that store.

  4. 4

    It helps the shopper

It suggests, compares or points to where the product is.

  5. 5

    Human checkpoint

    Staff take over when needed

Complex or high-value requests are passed to a store team member.

  6. 6

Your team learns from every question

What shoppers ask feeds into better stock choices and better service.

What changes for your team

What this setup is designed to change:

  • Shoppers get faster answers to common questions in store.
  • Service stays the same across every store and every shift.
  • Staff spend less time on repeat product and stock checks.
  • You learn what shoppers can't find or don't understand in store.

How we keep it safe and reliable

  • People stay in charge

Staff make the call on important, unclear or sensitive cases, and whenever the assistant is unsure.

  • Security built in from day one

Only the right people can see data, every action is recorded, and privacy is planned in from the start, not added after launch.

  • Judged on real results

We measure how good the answers are and how much they help your stores. The goal is better service, not just a smarter AI.

  • Watched after launch

Once live, the assistant is monitored and feedback is collected. Careful updates keep it accurate as products and shoppers change.
